Players are now returning to their various clubs after we saw lots of action, goals, records broken and an uninvited police saga in the world of international football played across the world.
The Nigerian senior national team secured two wins in their wold cup qualifiers group match against Liberia (2-0) and Cape Verde (2-1) which saw them top their group. Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi and Victor Osimhen were the main catalysts for the young team while Ahmed Musa and William Troost-Ekong reached a remarkable milestone of 100 caps and 50 caps respectively for the Super Eagles.
Musa, the Nigerian team captain, has been a worthy servant for the team as he joins former captains and legends, Vincent Enyeama and Joseph Yobo who made 100 caps too. He has the highest number of goals in the World Cup for Nigeria.
